Wedding photography is more than just showing up with a camera — it’s a relationship. Working with your wedding photographer should be an experience that feels effortless, supportive, and deeply personal. At Studio Reverie, I believe that every couple deserves not only beautiful images, but this type of meaningful collaboration.
Wondering what it’s really like to work with me as your wedding photographer? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at our process — from that very first “hello” to the moment you hold your story in your hands.
1. The Inquiry
Your journey begins with a simple message. Maybe you found me through a friend, on Instagram, or from a wedding we photographed. However you arrive, you’ll receive a warm, personal response (no automated forms or corporate replies here). I’ll check my availability and, if I’m free, email you to schedule a quick phone call to learn more about your vision, values, and love story.
2. The Connection Call
This isn’t a sales pitch — it’s a conversation. We’ll talk about your wedding day, your priorities, and what you’re dreaming of. You’ll also get a feel for my personality and how I work behind the lens. I believe chemistry matters. You’ll spend more time working with your wedding photographer than almost anyone else on your wedding day, so I want to make sure it feels like a fit — on both sides.
3. Booking Made Easy
When you’re ready, I’ll send over a contract and invoice through our secure booking system. Everything is clear, simple, and organized. Once you sign and pay the deposit, the date is officially yours — and then the fun really begins.
4. Engagement Session (Optional, but Magical)
For your engagement session, we’ll schedule it for a season or location that reflects your style. Think of it as a low-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera — and a beautiful way to capture the beginning of your story. Clients love to get these photos in a small album that complements their wedding album, as well as gifts for their loved ones.
Bonus: it helps build trust before the big day, so everything feels natural when working together on your wedding day.
5. Planning & Timeline Support
As your day approaches, I’m here to help. I’ll send you a wedding photography questionnaire and help build a customized timeline that prioritizes natural light and meaningful moments. Need help with vendor referrals or photo location ideas? I’m just an email or phone call away — this is a collaboration, not a transaction.
6. The Wedding Day
I show up early, prepared, and in tune with the energy of the day. My presence is calm, intuitive, and unobtrusive. I’ll gently guide when needed and step back when it matters most. You won’t have to worry about what’s being captured — I’ll be there for the big moments and the in-between ones: a tear wiped away, a hand squeeze, a quiet smile.
7. The Editing & Delivery
After your day, I carefully select and hand-edit your images to reflect my signature style: timeless, emotional, and artfully composed. You’ll receive a sneak peek within a few days. Then your full gallery and wedding album design will be revealed in person within 4–6 weeks. After this in-person reveal and ordering appointment, all of your wedding photos are uploaded to a beautiful, easy-to-navigate online gallery that you can share with your guests and relive it all.
8. Albums & Legacy
For your wedding album, I create a custom design that tells your story from beginning to end. I’ll also guide you in selecting the best images to decorate your home and to give as gifts. These are keepsakes meant to last for generations — heirlooms that grow more valuable with time.
9. Beyond “I Do”
Our relationship doesn’t end when the wedding album is delivered. Many of my couples return for anniversaries, growing families, and other milestones. I’m honored to continue telling your story — wherever it leads.
Working with Studio Reverie Means Being Seen, Not Just Photographed
I don’t just document weddings — I honor them. I see your story, your connection, and all the little moments that make it yours. I guide you along the way so that you aren’t left with overwhelming decisions. If that sounds like the experience you’re searching for, I’d be honored to hear from you.
